Harry Charles Howell, 73, retired railroad employee of Covington, died Tuesday morning at 2:15 o'clock at Lakeview Hospital in Danville, Ill where he had been a patient since Sunday.  Born May 13, 1874, in warren County, he was the son f Leonard and Margaret Cauley Howell. He married Grace Beard Dec 18, 1910. She preceded him in death Nov. 9, 1935.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ollie Caffal, of Cairo, Ill and sister-in-law, Miss Hattie Beard, who made her home with the deceased man.  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. E.E. McConnell in charge. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.   --- transcribed by kbz

Covington—Harry Charles Howell of Covington, retired railroader, passed away Tuesday morning at 3:15 at the Lake View Hospital, Danville, where he had been a patient since Sunday.
  He was born May 13, 1874 in Warren County, the son of Leonard P. and Margaret O. Pauley Howell. He married Grace Beard, December 18, 1910, who passed away November 9, 1935.
  He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ollie Goffall, of Cairo, Ill.; one sister-in-law, Miss Hattie Beard, who made her home with him; and several cousins.
  The body will remain at the Bodine-Shelby Funeral Home where friends may call. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be made in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Rev. E. E. McConnell will officiate. – thanks to S&E
